Backing Up Data Using External Hard Drive

If you have a large size file, such as video capture of hours of TV shows, which always exceeds 4GB, it may not be easy to back up with DVDR (single layer). So it leds to the emerging of large capacity external hard drives in the PC market. Now the new line of products are in TB (1000G), but of general purposes, 500GB is very enough .
There are 3 types of interfaces connecting PC(or Mac) to Hard Drive:
  1. USB 2.0
  2. IEEE: Firewire 400
  3. IEEE: Firewire 800 (fastest, mainly for Mac)
